Some time ago I wrote about lipsticks from Kylie Cosmetics, liquid and matte lipsticks. Now it’s time for my assessment of Kylie’s eye shadow palettes.
Attracted a year ago with Kylie cosmetics and how beautifully these palettes look, I bought two:
Take Me On Vacation and The Royal Peach Palette.
The pallets look beautiful, both are in cardboard packaging with a large mirror and a pretty nice brush.
In the Take Me On Vacation palette, we have 16 shades of 0.7 g each.
The palette costs 52 dollars, that is about 200 PLN.
We have 9 matt shades and 7 shiny ones in it.
The shelf life of the pallet is 24 months from the date of opening.
Shadows in this palette are quite dry, even shiny ones.
They do not smell special, you know the typical scent of unperfumed shadows.
Shadows are very delicate when it comes to their pigmentation, they do not crumble too much and do not flake when rubbing with a brush, but rather dirty the whole palette when we want to swipe the fingers with shadows or make swatches.
Working with them does not knock you on your knees, it’s very average, they do not blend with each other somehow, they are so decent if the job is about.
They behave the worst when wearing them, because even on the strongest base they roll and just after a few hours of wearing makeup disappear from the eye. It is not the fault of my falling eyelid, because I have palettes that with my falling eyelid can last for many hours in intact condition.
This palette in my opinion is very average and I would not buy it for the second time. For these 52 dollars, we can have 2 pallets from Juvias Place, whose quality knocks on the knees or 2-3 pallets (depending on which one we choose) from Morphe, which are cheaper and the quality is much better than Kylie’s pallets.
Unfortunately, the same applies to the Royal Peach palette, which costs $ 45, or about PLN 170.
At The Royal Peach, we have 12 shades of 1.4g each.
6 matte and 6 shiny shades.
In this palette, I was most charmed by this blue, very blue shadow, very similar to the pictures in the KKW & Mario palette.
However, these shadows are exactly the same as in the Take Me On Vacation palette.
Dry, they work with them on average and they do not stay on the eye for too long despite the base.
Personally, I think that these palettes (but also Kylie lipsticks) are not worth the price, they are nice and strongly promoted but as for me, this pleasure ends.
I know that many people like these cosmetics and are delighted with them and I respect them very much. I will not buy it for the second time and I will not reach for the new collections of this brand.
